| Weve had Knickers, our 11 yr. old 13-3 hands, larger size pony for 6 yrs. He grew up learning to ride well in the ring, trails, fields and many shows with my daughter, until she became 16 and outgrew him. Now he needs a good home with a passionate, devoted kid or teen, age 8 or older is best, who wants to be committed to him and love him, ride him, care for him, and be devoted to him. Needs to live around at least one other horse to be happy. Hes a well-trained, smart pony with a great disposition and much experience; Knickers is energetic; hes not wild but also not a push-button horse, and loves to learn. Hes happy just grazing or being groomed, but especially loves to ride someone eager to ride and learn. Knickers is healthy,friendly, experienced in many shows, trails, grazing outdoors, and just hangs out and enjoys being loved, groomed, talked with and ridden. My daughter and Knickers reached an intermediate level of skills in English riding, including some jumping, knowing his leads and changes, etc. He still has much he can learn or he can just enjoy life with the right person and another horse for company. He just plain enjoys being loved, ridden, and given enough attention in any reasonable way! Has a great personality, whinnies when you say hi, and has no bad habits. While we bought him a while back for $8000, wed lease him for $25 (negotiable) for one or more years (and probably indefinitely), because he urgently needs a home with a child, teen or small adult and family who can spend the time with him that he needs. He would be best for an advanced beginner to intermediate rider. |
