Spirit is an eight year old chocolate dapple Shetland Pony gelding. He stands approximately 10.1 hands high and weighs approximately 480 pounds. He is up-to-date on his vaccinations, farrier work, and is dewormed regularly. He has had no health problems to our knowledge whatsoever. He is a very easy keeper, staying plump on pasture supplemented with hay, and has exceptionally good feet.
Spirit performs very well as a leadline pony for our young daughter, and was used in a small beginner lesson program last year. He is most suitable as a leadline pony because of his size and the limited size rider that he can carry. He was ridden last year by a small novice rider independently and did very well, but has experienced success as a leadline pony consistently.
Though he has had no formal training, Spirit would be a lovely driving pony. He has a very flashy high-stepping trot, rarely breaks his gait, and is virtually unspookable as of yet.
He is very people-oriented, with a willing attitude, and thrives in an environment where he can be the center of attention. He loads easily, clips, cross-ties, is level-headed, and has an in-your-pocket personality. Asking $600 to a good home only. Additional pictures and viewing available upon request.
