| LOTS of potential for a calf horse in this colt as well as heeling horse. He moves like a reining colt but in my opinion I think he is going to be a little too quick to turn into a reiner. He is a snappy and agile colt that needs to be following a calf or a steer down the arena rather than laying down a set of slides.
Champ might best be described as an athletic, cute as a bug, bay roan brick with legs, yep that pretty much hits the nail on the head. I really like this colt and always have, he was a super sweet baby and his personality is still the same as it was then. Big soft eye, huge hip, cute head and plenty of muscle and bone. Black legs, black feet and a small star in his forehead. He is kind natured, willing, quick on his feet and balanced. This colt seems to thrive under pressure and seems to like the educational challenges being brought to him during training. He isnt spooky or snorty but he doesnt miss a thing, if something moves in the brush he will tell you right away with his bird dog pose as I call it. Champ currently stands about 14.1 and I really doubt he is going to get much more than an inch or two taller, I believe he will weigh roughly 1200-1250 pounds at maturity in working condition. We have video of this horse on Youtube. Just go in and type JenniferHermesch in your search and you will find him or you can cut and paste this into your browser
