| I got this horse about 6 months ago because his owner previously died, I am considering this horse a rescue ONLY because his feet were sever with thrush and hadnt been trimmed for a long time.
we got his thrush all healed, Vet and shoer both agree he has made a complete 180 since we got him. He still needs corrective trimming in the back but nothing but on time trimming could fix.
But he is very very gentle, saddles easy, doesnt care for a bit or a machanical hackimore, we are thinking a rubber D ring snaffle would do. Doesnt mind going alone for a long ride on the side of the road. Registered APHA.
We havent had any kids that have ridden him yet, but I have rode him and he has a real gentle, mellow nature. Nothing bothers him much. Due to his previous feet problem I wouldnt recommend him for hard work but packing little kids around.
