It truly breaks my heart to place him for a new home but need something with a little more zip for what I want to do I originally got Rudy because he was so laid back and smooth gaited but have since wanted something with a little more go to him. Rudy has the perfect personality for a lead line prospect, childs mount or therapy program. Hes very laid back and prefers to just kick back and walk/trot (if he has to). He wasnt a fan of the arena but since I primarily worked in the arena, hes gotten better. He is on the lazy side, so Ive had to use spurs on him. Hes smart and picks up new things quickly. He will pack around kids on leadline all day. Stand tied for hours to allow my daughter to brush him out or fuss over him.
I personally, would still considered green but has a good foundation. Just needs consistency. I started from ground up again and have him riding in an o-ring snaffle with no curb chain. I do wear spurs as hes on the lazier side. He loves to be fussed over and have no problem sending my kids out to pasture to bring him in by themselves. Ive carried a flag, thrown a rope off of him and walk him over tarps, etc. and hes great!
