| Jewel is a very fun horse to ride she neck reins one handed and is very responsive. She is 18 to 20 years old, but acts more like 10 she has alot of good years left and i dont feed her any special feed she has just been on pasture and i sometimes give all the horses sweet feed when they come up to the house. When i bought her 4 years ago she was supposedly 11, but when i got her teeth floated the vet said probably around 20 and she does have a sway in her back, but it doesnt affect her riding at all my brother is 6ft 1in and 230 pounds and rides her with no problems. She is pretty quick and likes to prance sometimes. She will never buck, rear, or run off guaranteed and she is always the same if you ride her everyday or once a year. She doesnt kick or bite and she does ride alone or with others. She is very easy to control my son loves riding her because she is not a bit stubborn and her ears are always moving listening to what you want her to do next. She would be good for endurance riding she never gets tired and is always ready to go.She would also be good for rounding up cows or checking fences. I think anyone that knows how to ride and likes horses with spirit could ride her she doesnt spook and will go through creeks up steep hills through wooded areas just anywhere you want her to go. She stands tied, saddles, bridles, stands for fly spray, loads and hauls with no problem and is good for the farrier she might go in a circle when he first goes to do her back feet, but she will never kick and is fine after that. She is 100% sound and healthy. Price negotiable Thanks Melodie. i cant get the video to upload on here but it is on youtube just put in melodienandy |
