im getting a horse from Oklahoma VERY soon that is $10,000 and i MUST sell Savannah to help pay for the costs. i have owned her for 5yrs and she has been a delight to have on the farm. Savannah is an amazing mare! whats so significant about Savannah is that, she goes the speed that the rider wants to go, not her, if you want her to give it her all, buddy, hold on tight and she will light up the course! BUT if you have a rider that is somewhat scared and wants to take it easy, she can sense that and will take it down a notch. you dont even have to kick Savannah if you want to go, just give her the reins. THE BARREL RACING IN THE VIDEOS ARE FROM 2 MONTHS AGO WHEN SHE WASNT IN SHAPE, SHE IS NOT IN SHAPE AND GOING MUCH FASTER!!!! EMAIL ME FOR UPDATED VIDEOS!!!...........http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMveeZUtbX0..........in the videos, the young blonde headed girl is 6yrs old and thats her 1st time on Savannah, and her 3rd time ever on a horse. the older dark brown headed girl barrel racing is me. i competed her and trained her. i give lessons on her as well. Savannah can be ridden by beginner riders. she is VERY sweet and tame. she is easy to catch, load, groom, wash, saddle, etc. i trained her in barrel racing myself and she took to it immediately. shes been barrel racing for 4yrs now. the ONLY reason why im selling her im getting other horses to train and compete that are registered so I can go to bigger shows and earn points. Savannah is an amazing horse and would be great for barrel racers of any age.. she gets times from the 16s to 17s not in shape and she has gotten in the 15s in shape before. with a small rider, she could probably get in the 14s as well. she also listens to what you say intently. if you like going fast, she will give it all she has, if you like going slow she will take it down a notch for you. if she feels she has messed up and disapointed you, she will come up to you with sad eyes and lay her head down as a way to apologize. she has never offered to kick, buck, bite, or anything horrible. she is a great horse and a good home is a must! she has also NEVER knocked down a barrel in ANY competition, and only twice in practice, but not recently and from the rider taking her in to tight around the barrel the 1st barrel racing clip in the video(the close-up) is just giving her the reins, thats without a whip, spurs, or even kicking her. thats just letting her have the reins. the 2nd barrel racing clip is kicking her w/out spurs. she is ALMOST automatic and the neck reins and direct reins both(neck reins better in competiton). ALSO, in the video, the young girl with blonde hair is 6yrs old and that was her 1st time riding a horse bareback, 5th time to ever be on a horse. that is to show you how gentle she is with younger riders. |
