| Gunner, as we call him, is a very handsome well bred gaited gelding. He is DNA tested, Registered, UTD on 5 way, worming, and trimming. He loads, leads, ties, stands for vet and farrier, has never had or needed shoes, baths, clips you name it.
Previous owner used him in training seminars throughout pa for a couple of years, trail rode him off and on for 3 years, she sold him to me as green broke because she had not worked him in a while.
I bought him for my husband while I was still pregnant so I didnt get to work with him for a little while either. When I restarted him he seemed to do just fine though, we did have a couple of little skidders to the side but no bucking or biting or kicking, nothing like that, you could just tell he was fresh and needed a brush up, I gave him a good solid month of personal training 3-4 days a week before I started to bring in my other riders for him, I had one lady that rode him with me 2-3 times a week for a month, then we let our one little pal (who is a big little girl that knows how to ride) she is 11 yrs old and she got on and had no problems with him. He is very soft in the mouth and goes great with a bitless bridle or a snaffle (I prefer full cheek). We have had alot going on latly and he has not been ridden in about a month but Im sure he wont be bad. I am honest about my horses because I want to find them the proper home and there be no suprises! I have not done any trail type riding with him except up in my top pasture, we have all back roads and alot of crazy driving teenagers so we try to stay off the roads, and the neighbor is a property hound and we are not aloud on his land at all and he owns the whole way around us.
The main reason for selling is hubby is showing no interest in him and I have my horse I raised and trained and ride, we also have a couple baby horses and we do not need this extra horse.
He would be great for a show home or 4-h, recommend a more experienced rider till he is finished a little more.
Price is OBO Will trade (partial or full depending on condition) for a 2 horse bumper pull trailer, prefer a taller roof and some sort of storage area, or will take a partial trade for good quality horse hay, NO HORSES PLEASE!! E-mail buckingwildranch@yahoo for more pics and videos. I would much rather sell him out right so please act now I wont refuse a decent offer to the right home. |
