Mirage is a stunning, bay polish arabian mare. Unfortunately, we do not have her papers. We were informed that her previous owner paid around $15,000 for this mare, plus another $5,000 was invested into her training. She was put out to pasture for 5 years. It is our assumption that she has been a broodmare during the past 5 years.
Mirage is just as sweet, gentle and loving as she is beautiful and athletic. A real-head turner that draws the attention of every visitor! Mirage is all girl! She loves her baths, being groomed and pampered, or just hanging out with people. She is very, VERY people orientated.
She is very easy to catch, very sociable! Stands in x-ties very well for grooming, bathing, farrier, vet etc. She is also an extremely easy keeper. She is on half a scoop of Seminole Senior Feed twice daily and we have also had to ration her T&A hay and grass turnout ... she puts on weight very easily. I actually went as far as to pay for our vet to come out and palpate her to make sure she was not pregnant! An expensive way to find out your gorgeous mare is just fat! *smile*
It is obvious that she was cherished by somebody in her past. She is the more dominant mare in the pasture, however, she has not marked another horse to date. She appears to have enough presence about her that a scowl and pinned ear is enough to send another horse away (thankfully).
Trail riders, this is your girl! Mirage is forward and keen - but not strong, uptight or spooky. She has got a lot of trail mileage with us, even being ridden by a 7 year old child on the trails! Mirage likes to be in the lead and visibly was more relaxed and happy in front. It is as if she knows her job and she belongs in the front. She got a little sulky when we asked her to walk slowly behind a draft cross horse! She did not get agitated, just sulked! She proved herself to be as close to bombproof as anybody can expect a horse to be. Mirage had palm frongs touch her side, birds flew out of the bushes at her, traffic rushed noisily by .. she was completely unphased. She is very aware of her rider and was very careful, sane, smart and brave on the trail. She is a lot of fun. An amazing mare .. such class! She is always gentle, very safe, sane and willing. She is careful with self-preservation, which is a great asset on a trail. She is very much a babysitter for her rider. It is clear that she assesses the ability of her rider and will adapt her ride accordingly. She will tiptoe quietly around with a timid or young rider. She will be more bold and forward (but safe) with an intermediate to advanced rider. She is definitely happiest on the trails, she loses some of her charisma and can appear a little bored doing school work! We would love to see her go to a person that loves their horses and loves their trails! She is truly the most gentle, affectionate, sane, intelligent and forgiving mare I have had the pleasure to work with for the longest time. She will be some lucky persons best friend for years to come. She has a lot of love to give and she will surely take all the love you can spare! She can take the pampering and attention all day long *smile* She is ALL girl!
Mirage loads easily in A trailer and settles very quickly with new and different challenges. She has a great can-do attitude, very willing and easy temperament, she is brave and curious .. just a very classy mare.
You will see from her video that she has breath-taking movement. Extensions, elevation, suspension .. this girl literally floats! A dressage divas dream! Being an arabian, and one that appears to be very calm, mature and laid back .. she could also be a wonderful endurance horse for a competitive trail rider, too!
As she does not have papers, I do not recommend her as a broodmare!
If you are looking for a beautiful, kind, sweet, gentle and loving project horse, Mirage is very affordable at only $2000. Her price will increase accordingly as her professional training continues at Harmony.

VIDEO # 3 - Mirage over small jumps in Round Pen
VIDEO # 4 - A full 25 minute video giving a full introduction to Mirage. It also shows her standing quietly in cross-ties, for grooming, wrapping, fly spray and tacking up. It further shows her desensitization as we film her reaction to walking over tarp, slamming a car door, playing loud music, firing up a loud gas strimmer next to her, loading in the trailer, standing quietly for mounting and finally a little walk/trot and canter under saddle.
VIDEO # 5 - Short Schooling Session - Walk/Trot Under Saddle
