| Josie is a well built sorrel/chestnut QH mare about 9 years old. Approximately 14.2 hands but very stocky. Very sweet and has great ground manners. Well broke and not spooky, willing to try anything and go anywhere her rider asks. Has very smooth gaits and goes into them easily, also transitions down well. Has a good neck rein and works well of leg pressure. Gets along well with other horses in pasture and run-in situation – currently 2 other geldings. Is easy to catch in pasture and can fly spray while she is loose. Has run the barrel pattern a couple times with a beginner and did REALLY well. Improved her time by 4 seconds each run. Has a lot of speed and power for her size. Has been around and worked cows a little bit, has no fear of them and does what she is asked. Has pulled logs and cows off the saddle horn. Is a great trail horse and is good in thick brush or steep hills, pretty much any obstacle or type of trail. Fine with traffic, bikes, large groups, will ride first, last or in the middle with no problems, will go out alone fine as well. Loads in the trailer with no hesitation and rides well. I would not suggest her for an absolute beginner but if you know your basics and are confident on a horse then she would be perfect.
