| ***SALE PENDING***Madja is a really nice bay thoroughbred mare. We acquired Madja as a package deal when we were buying my daughter another horse. The seller was desperate to find her a home. Madja has competed doing barrels, poles, flag race, speed race and other fun games. The previous owner is the one who used to show her in these events. Since we have had her (Nov. 08) we have had no use for her since we have other barrel horses and do not use her. We have trail rode her a couple times and she does fine. We have put her in the arena to see what she can do and she knows everything. She is fast and can run a 14 to 16 sec barrel pattern depending on the pattern size and a 22-24 pole pattern. This is the 2nd summer she has not been shown but is in pretty good shape and wouldnt take much to get her where she needs to be to be competing again. She is UTD on all shots, has a current coggins and health certificate. She recently had her feet trimmed, (we dont put shoes on her since we dont ride her). She trailers well, stands for the farrier loves to be bathed but havent tried clipping, easy to catch and she loves to be loved on. She was on the track at one time but was taken off because she wasnt as big as other thoroughbred racing horses. If you look up her pedigree on Jockey Club you will find that her Sire made a lot of money and that she has EXCELLENT bloodlines. She is the great-great-granddaughter of Secretariat. You will need to go to Jockey Club to see her full pedigree. She is also double registered. Madja is NOT for a beginner. Madja is not crazy but needs someone who knows what they are doing with horses. My daughter who is 13 y/o has rode her but she is an advanced rider. Madja will make someone a lot of money. Price is negotiable. May even trade.
***UPDATE*** I try to be honest with people so this is what is going on. Last week I had a woman (who works and trains horses) come try Madja out and had NO problems with her. I did not want to trade with the woman. Today I had a young lady try Madja and she was a total butt and that is putting it nicely. Madja showed a side of herself that I had never seen. Madja wanted to go back to the field with her buddies, that is what the whole problem was. She reared up several times making it difficult to saddle her and to get on her. Needless to say they never got on as it wasn worth it. At this point I want her gone ASAP! So I will be up for any REASONABLE offers on her. Shoot me a price and come get her. I have seen her run...by a 13 y/o and I know she can do it. She just needs some major attitude adjusting. |
