| Wonderful Gelding! 14.3 hands, bay that can almost be called a red dun in the summer, when his coat turns a beautiful copper red and a faint dorsal stripe is visible.
Boco is gorgeous, and has a wonderful smooth gait that you can ride all day. He is great to take out all alone, and also rides with groups, front, back, or middle. He can walk all day with the quarter horses, or you can glide down the trail if you are with other gaited horses, or by yourself. I took him on one competetive trail ride, and watched all those arab riders posting all day, while I kept up the pace with my butt resting smoothly in the saddle (and he passed all the vet checks and obstacles with flying colors!).
Boco is pretty relaxed for a Paso, but does have some brio, and is not for a total beginner. He has NEVER reared or bucked. I hop on him after six months without riding (aka winter in Iowa) and he is always ready to go down the trail- no arena riding or round pen needed. I bought him from the farm where he was born, and have owned him for over three years. I ride him without a bit, - he does great without one. He has great feet and has always been barefoot.
Loads in a two-horse straight load (or anything else), stands great for the farrier and shots, doesnt mind clippers. He is microchipped, current on all vaccines, dewormed regularly, and has a current Coggins.
I hate to sell him, but I am a single parent about to have two kids in college, and I just cant justify horse ownership right now. Maybe you will sell him back to me in a few years! |
