| Dixie is a beautiful mover and, according to our local 4H rep, a prospect that has great potential. Her mother (Classy Dancer) is a registered POA and currently shows. We have had Dixie since August, 08. She has a lot of personality. She is GREEN but will accept halter and walks well on lead. I have had my 5 yo daughter on her back and walked her around the yard without her bucking or anything. Dixie stands well for vet and farrier. She has never had shoes and does just fine; farrier says she has good feet. She is a cheap keep; she does fine on grass, however since I have a small property, I spend approximately $50 a month to feed her (grass hay, pellets and corn). She spent the winter outside with a lean-to and no blanket; she has a great winter coat. Dixie is up-to-date on Coggins and vaccinations. Dixie is ornery but sweet. She gets along well with other animals. Currently she rooms with mini mule and large sheep (both males). I don know how to train a horse, so if you do, shell make you happy, Im sure.
