| Eliberator, Eli, is a 4 year old OT Jockey Club Registered Thoroughbred gelding, 16 hands. This beautiful guy is as sweet and sane as they come, both undersaddle and on the ground. His manners are impecable, clips, ties, trailers, bathes, stands for farrier...just a pleasure to be around in general. This is a horse that you can throw in a trailer, take to a show or trailhead and leave him tied with a little food and he won make a wrong move all day long!
Eli is extremely talented and has the potential to be a very competitive Hunter Under Saddle and Hunter Jumper. Hes got a naturally cadenced gait that is both comfortable and smooth, and with his willing and trainable attitude, the possibilities are truly endless. The best thing about this guy is his temperment. Eli was ridden by a child on the very same day that he was picked up from the racetrack, and subsequently was ridden in the arena and out on the trail by the same child. He was easily started on flat work and over fences.
Since Eli has been with us, he has been schooled on his flat work and is currently being worked over small fences. He has been taken to his first show and in addition to being calm, cool and collected (didn spook ONE TIME, even when the tractor was removing jumps from the arena no more than ten feet from him), he placed 5th in Hunters Under Saddle and 2nd in Hunter Pleasure, against many older and more schooled horses, and he also placed 1st in a Pairs class where he went calmly throughout the class in quiet cadence no more than 2 feet alongside another horse.
Eli could easily be ridden currently by an Intermediate rider. He has already been ridden by children and inexperienced riders, both in the arena and on the trail. Eli is currently in training and will be until he is sold, and has another show scheduled for the beginning of October. Though Eli would make a wonderful family trail horse, we are hoping to find him a good show home where he will be used to his fullest potential, which is truly endless...Hunter, Hunter Jumper, Dressage...this guy could do it all, and with a novice rider on his back!
