| Another red roan Appaloosa type mare. Kya is around 14 hands and has gained all her weight. She is a solid, beautiful mare.
From Kyas foster mom: Kya has settled down so much in the last couple of months. She is mostly quiet and calm, but a little standoffish. she does not warm up quickly to new people. She has recently been tried under saddle. She definitely is broken to ride, but is extemely nervous and unsure of the entire situation. She has not been bridled yet, due to an old scar in the corner of her mouth that led us to try a hackamore first. She was recently introduced to a yearling in the pasture and to our complete surprise decided to be mom to the young one. She even shares her food bowl! With time and patience and the right owner Kya will once again be a happy, ridable horse. She is just waiting for the right person to love.
