| | Riverbend Ali aka Preacher is an amazing horse. If you put a beginner on him he acts like he is 100 years old and if you know how to ride you have a great horse under you. We have owned him for 19 years and he has done everything!!! You can ride him with full tack or just a piece of twine. He has been ridden mostly western but gos well under english tack.
We have trail ridden him mostly for the last 3 or 4 years but have competed in play days, and team pennings a lot in the past. He is a great camp horse - if you ride out and get lost he will bring you back to your trailer.
Will stand tied for days and will load into any stock trailer or pickup stock rack (it takes a little patience to load him into a small 2 horse - weve only used one a couple of times and he is not sure he likes it real well)
Baths, clips, stands for farrier great. You can crawl under his belly or between his front or back legs. You can do back flips off his back (if you can do them). Have played volleyball and football off of him and he has gone through any kind of torture a kid can think of.
You have to be careful of what you ask him to do because if you are sure you want to cross something stupid like a great big ditch or go up or down a really steep hill he will do it.
A super great trail horse - will walk all day on a loose rein and goes forever. |
