| Smokie is a very kind horse who has been used on the trail and as an overall pleasure mount. Very soft face, neck reins, breaks nicely at the poll and will travel collected, has a nice stop, rollbacks, turn arounds, is very handy and responsive. He is a super fun horse to ride. He is very light and would be best suited for an intermediate and above rider.
I took him on a group trail ride last year with over 50 horses and he was wonderful. Crosses water, obstacles, and is sensible out on the trail. With his movement, he has the capacity to easily be a very nice hunter under saddle and lower level dressage mount. He is athletic and quick enough to do mounted shooting and other precision speed events. Smokie is sound, loads, ties, clips, bathes and is regularly vacuumed. Smokie is Incentive Fund enrolled. He has no vices.
