| This is an original Marshall Dillon Tennessee Walking Horse. She is big. She is pretty. Rides good. Does well in the saddle. Black with white stockings, blaze, and spots. Handles and trailers well and is good with the farrier. Has been ridden trail with other horses and remains calm and attentive.
Can be ridden by anyone with any knowledge of horsemanship. She will get up and cut and collect when pushed, and go right back to calm and cool with one touch of the reins.
Look at the bloodlines below and you will see some of the best names in the Tennessee Walking Horse Association..... Midnight Sun, Matt Dillon, Marshall Dillon, etc.
Delivery can be arranged.
Call or Email for more info and pictures. 5/25/2008..... We just got back from a 28 mile ride that included everything from cars and motorcycles passing by, to hills and valleys that she practically had to slide down one side and nearly crawl up the other. We crossed streams, bridges and even several intersections. She handle all of it like a pro and NEVER turned away or spooked at anything. If you are looking for a horse that can be safe for a novice or if you are looking for a horse that will get up and down when you ask her to, then this is your horse. I have found only ONE vice. She was pushed to run by her previous owner. This virtually eliminated the smooth gait that the Tennessee Walkers are common for. Her racking gait is choppy and bouncy, but with a little work, she can regain the smoothness by pushing her up from a walk and holdeing her back from a trot to tell her that this is the gait you want. It is there, she just passes it because she had been asked to. |
