| I must sell Rodie due to an auto accident injury making it impossible for me to ride him. I believe Rodie is an appaloosa QH mix, hes red with dappled silver highlights in his coat. hes about 1000 pounds. Rodie is a great horse, loving, well mannered and eager to please. stands for the ferrier without tying, bathes, loves water, cross country trail riding, no problem with automobiles or barking dogs. he has done a cutting move over a pheasant. You can touch him anywhere and he dont care. Hes never kicked or bucked. Hes good on the lunge and knows his stuff. I believe that he was originally used as an equestrian team horse. Hes neck reined and moves with simple touch and a click of the tonge, no kicking needed. puts his head down for you to halter or bridle. Hes excellent on the lead, doesnt push or pull, easy to get out of the pasture, doesnt run from you and most times will come when called. he walks with you through a gate and doesnt rush to get back into the pasture. easy keeper. doesnt need a stall just a leanto for bad weather. Ive never shut him in. He needs someone that will ride him and work with him. I havent been able to since June of 2007. He loves people and gets along well with other horses. He loves attention and brushing. Hes been ridden with a halter and reins, bareback, rope halter snaffle bit or curb bit, western saddle. Ive never tried english on him. If youd like more pictures just email and Ill send them to you.
