He would make a terrific therapeutic pony for visiting hospitals, schools, nursing homes etc. because he will walk into any building; even up steps! Elvis tolerates the children using him as a play toy, crawling all over him, and enjoys the attention. Elvis has even been in my house; we have pics. Never has he put his ears back, even when he is being tortured by the kids. He has done it all, parades, rides on the beach (has been in the ocean up to his nostrils with previous owner), trail rides, arena work, and has pulled a cart. His favorite gaits are walking and WHOA, but when he does move out he has a fluid, flat kneed trot with a super cute canter. He would be a super Leadline, Walk/Trot show pony. He is sure to catch the judge’s eye with his flashy coloring and charming personality with further training. Absolutely, no pony attitude or bad behaviors whatsoever! He has great ground manners and doesn’t push or pull the kids around. He is trained, ridden, and handled by a 10 year old. He would be perfect for an unrated to D level Pony Clubber, 4-Her, leadline pony, or a child learning how to ride in their backyard. Parents, do you want to bring your child along on trail rides? Elvis will safely pack your child anywhere; he is awesome out on the trails. Elvis will ride quietly alone or in a group. He rides English, Western, and bareback; even in an open field with halter! Sound, easy keeper (eats hardly anything and stays plump), strong hooves (no founder), UTD on all shots, de worming, clips, loads, bathes, ties, trailers with no problems, walks up steps, started on tricks. He is the same mellow guy whether ridden daily or once every few weeks. We are really attached to Elvis, but my daughter is growing too fast to keep riding him. Elvis is head shy behind his ears but is improving daily w/handling of ears. A loving family is a must, and we ask for the first right of refusal if new owners are ever in a position to sell.
